On September 4th, the Coalition for Sustainable AI hosted a webinar titled “Navigating International & Collaborative Initiatives for Sustainable AI.” The session brought together global leaders in AI policy and sustainability to explore how artificial intelligence can be aligned with environmental goals.
🎙️ We were honored to hear live interventions from:
- Anne Bouverot, Special Envoy for AI, France
- Tomas Lamanauskas, Deputy Secretary-General, ITU
- Golestan Sally Radwan, Chief Digital Officer, UNEP
Their insights helped frame the urgency and opportunity of international collaboration in shaping responsible AI ecosystems.
A key moment of the webinar was the unveiling of the first global mapping of sustainable AI initiatives a resource designed to help organizations identify impactful projects to support or join. This mapping reveals a growing ecosystem committed to aligning AI with global environmental objectives. The Coalition also shared its upcoming strategic directions, shaped by community feedback, and invited all participants to contribute to the next phase of action.
